Adding to Joe's statement, if you have an i5, there isn't a need to upgrade to an i7 unless HyperThreading is needed.
That would not necessarily be true in some cases. Some games actually can benefit from HT and in fact, Dragon Age: Inquisition (in its current sadistic state) actually requires an i7 to even load the game from the title screen.:lol:
