will the MSI Z97 Gming 5 heatsink block my Corsair h105 Liquid cooler in my Corsair Obsidian 450D case ?

No, that will all fit fine, when you refer to heatsink block I am assuming you are talking about the black and red bits around the side of the processor socket and if you are then it will still fit fine and will go nicely in your case. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/158475-chasing-4k/
