Will the MSI B85 LGA 1150 usb 3.1 micro ATX Motherboard (B85M-E45) run my system?

I found this while looking for a cheap mobo and I need to know if it will be able to run my msi gtx 1060 6b gaming x.

Also, what are the cons of it and is it not compatible with anything useful for a gaming PC? I plan to use this only for a few months and I can buy a completely new setup. Thankyou.

It will run the card no problem. It has the required slot and with compatible CPU and good enough PSU it will do fine, its the GPU and CPU that define gaming performance not so much the motherboard.

One more thing about this topic. Does this mobo allow me to overclock my i5 2500k? I found that certain motherboards don't allow it.

well it will not work with the 2500K since it is a lga 1155 CPU!

Could you please recomend one similar to the one above, but overclockable? I tried searching, but I get a 100 dollar price jump.

for 2500K and OC you need Z68, Z75 or Z77 board! Very few in retail and if any expensive. Used market the best bet.
