The PCIE standard (Your graphics card slot) is both forward and backwards compatible. So long as your board has a PCIE x16 slot it will support the 1050ti, and if it has a 2.0 or 3.0 slot it will operate without any drawbacks.

since my motherboard doesnt have a direct power supply to a pcie will it still be powered or does the gpu need to have a socceckt to be powered by the piwer supply sorry i am new to computer building

The PCIE slot receives power through the main 24 pin connector on the motherboard. The additional slot for power to the PCIE slots you see on some boards is just to add power for improved overclocks, though they really don't add much even for that.
