Seeing where your old GPU is, I think the answer is yes, ASSUMING the hard drives don't go down any lower and would interfer with your current GPU if it were longer.

1080s are gonna be like 10.5"-13" long

You're definitely gonna want a better PSU though as well.

Well we'd need to know the exact card you're looking at . . EVGA, Zotac, Gigabyte, Asus all make cards, and all will have slight variations in size.

But judging from the picture: my guess is no it will not. But I'd also just not recommend it unless your CPU is pretty recent as well. Pretty pointless getting the newest/best GPU if you have a 5-10 year old processor in there holding it back. You'll also need to make sure your PSU can handle the extra power.

thank you for all your input. first of all the PSU is taken care of i will be getting one with about 700-800W. also sorry about the dust it was a premade computer and that was the first time i ever opened it (pretty stupid right). It might already be obvious but i am quite new to the inside of a computer so i don't know much about it yet so when you say i need to upgrade my CPU will it be a big job or simply take the old CPU out buy a new 1 and put the new 1 in? and if it is as simple as that could you please recommend me a CPU to get that would be able to handle the 1080 GPU. Thank You

Acording to your link you have an i7-4770, if true (windows/task manager can confirm) then there's no need to upgrade your CPU.

Ok thanks that is good to know, i don't have to spend more money on CPU. Could you please help me get a new tower because i really dont know what i should be doing, all i know is that i need a mid tower but nothing else.
