[SOLVED] Will the Phenom ii X4 940 support ddr3 ram on my fm2+ mobo?

it's a weird one, i got it off like some shady dude but it's a A68F2AL2, it says it does support ddr3 but i read a thread which said that the cpu doesnt support ddr3

The Phenom ii X4 940 is AM2+ not FM2+ so it's not going to work.

FM2+ mobo's don't support amd am3-+ cpu's now for choosing an apu for the fm2+ series, I suggest this:

can i use Noctua NH-D15 instead since i'm not really a fan of aio

The D15 is kinda overkill for a FM2 cpu. A $20 Deepcool Gammaxx 400 would work.

whatever you feel comfortable with, make sure to read the instructions before you set it up and use that artic mx 4, it will last almost a year if you don't do any extreme overclocking 24/7.
