I'm planning on building a cpu but im kind of confused.
the motherboard is, Gigabyte GA-F2A55M-DS2 Motherboard
and the ram is, G.Skill RipJaws 8gb 1600 (12800CL9D) 2x4
will it fit?

Don't worry im gonna run on HD7770 1gb DDR5 am on a budget though. :)

its a ATX specification (industry standard)....nothing fancy just the way it works. the industry make standards so each others parts will work in each other boards, cards, cases etc. now one issue you could have is ram height if you have a huge heat sink. even though they have these standards some things like that can cause issue.

what i didn't learn in the navy, college or certification classes i taught myself.

well I still can't teach myself about what you are saying that how did the RAM fit to motherboard though.
Sorry im only 15 and loves to learn about this stuffs. :)
if that is okay with you.

no worries....happy to teach...ddr3 is one of those standards i mentioned...so ram manufacturers have to follow it. things like number of pins spacing etc...now CPU's have there own voltage standards....sandy/ivy bridge use ram with 1.5v...older i7 like bloomfield use up 1.65v. you have to look at all the standards for a set configuration which i did on yours. google is your friend ;)

i'd buy the higher clocked ram. run the onboard graphics until I could install a better graphics card.

Ahh, I totally forgot about that DDR3 I just got totally confused when I read the Specs of that ram because of its chipset thing. :) Thank you for teaching me. :D

if you run the APU as your graphics he is right more speed is better (say 1600 to 2133 would be +10fps or more)...if your going dedicated card as you stated the difference is extremely small in frame rate (1-3 fps)

Is that so? :??: now that you explained it I get the point now. but may I ask, can the onboard APU with the 2133 play farcry 3 and crysis 3 smoothly?

Will this do the job? 8gb Genesis (1866C9D3K2/8GX) 2x4 without the dedicated video card and have an improved fps you mentioned above?

depends on the settings and resolution. but I could easily say no, but that 7770 won't either. you need more card. but then you'll come to a point where the cpu will become a stumbling block. catch22.
