Hi everyone, my first post here.
I'm thinking of upgrading my GPU to the RTX 2080Ti and wanted to see if my PC would be compatible, and what kind of performance increase I can expect?
Here's what's I'm dealing with.

CPU: i7-7700K
Cooler: Corsair H60
GPU: MSI GTX 1070 8GB
Motherboard: MSI Z270 TOMAHAWK ATX LGA1151
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4-3000
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Fully Modular ATX
Case: NZXT S340 ATX Mid Tower
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO - 1TB // (A fairly old) Seagate Barracuda 500GB // 24TB Various External Hard Drives
Monitor: 1x Acer 1080p 27" just standard off the shelf consumer

Thank you all!

Total overkill for a 1080p monitor. But at least you're ready for when you upgrade to a higher resolution.
Yeah that's what I'm thinking. I have no need for 4K or Super Ultra Wide at the moment, but may do in the future. (SUW monitors probably especially good for flight simming and other similar games)

Huge waste of money at that resolution. Get it if you're going to actually move up to 1440p or higher.
There's a bunch of threads on 2080Ti + 1080p already - you'll have to turn on DSR so you aren't hard cpu limited in games.
Not to mention, people with cheaper gpus - RTX 2070 Super/RX 5700XT won't be that far behind you in performance.

Thanks for your insight. Do you reckon the RTX 2070 Super is a good bump up in performance from the GTX 1070?
