alright to make the question quick as possible ,,,, Im probably going to give in and buy a 3060 ti at the lower end of the scalper pricing hike (i know i been against it to but what can you do when the markets dead in the water) I have 2 psu both are 550 watt power supplies one is the Corsair CV550 purchased june of 2020, the other is a seasonic S12III 550 , I bought in august 2019 and used for up until the corsair power supply ,,,,,

The rest of the system specs in case its needed for Power calculation

Ryzen 5 3600 CPU
Corsair A500 Cooler
Asus Strix B450F Gaming II Motherboard
4 dimms Corsair Vengeance LPX 8gb DDR4 3200 (32gb total)
Western Digital Black Sn750 500gb NVME SSD
Samsung QVO 2tb 2.5" SSD
Currently a Gigabyte GTX1660 super OC edition GPU.
Case is Corsair 275R Airflow (stockfans used (2 3pin 120mm front 1 3pin 120mm rear)
no lighting ,, or rgb lighting ,

Power supplies I have
Corsair CV550 550watt non modular PSU
Seasonic S12III 550watt non modular PSU

Part two of this question is should i consider waiting for RTX 3060 non ti to come out since im mainly a 1080p gamer.

I'd say yes. Some models draw more power than others. I have an entry level Seasonic 650w and an RTX3070 (more power hungry than some of the other 3070's), and it has enough juice to run a GTX1060 6GB as well at the same time, and the rest of my gear.
