Will the Ryzen 5 1600 bottleneck a gtx 1070 or 1080 running at 1080p 144hz

I want to build a PC for ultra wide gaming at 1080p 144hz. I want to use the ryzen 5 1600 with either a 1070 or 1080 but not sure if the cpu will be bottlenecked at 1080p.

Nope. The 1600 is very capable of driving those specs and much more. People are purchasing it for the same reasons. You should be fine.

I personally have a gtx 1070 and a ryzen 5 1600 as well as a 1080p 144hz monitor. For the most part it is ok out I feel like I should have spent more on the cpu to take full advantage of my 1070. In games like gta 5 and ping you can definitely notice the bottleneck compared to the new ryzen cpu's or Intel's coffe lake line of processors. It really depends on the game you are playing.
