Hey guys,
Quick question, so I was trying to make my first build and I was wondering if the sound cards on my asrock h97 pro4 will be good enough. Will it break and i would have to get a new motherboard, or it shouldn't break. Thx

Solution
You can use the integrated sound of your motherboard, if you game, watch movies and casual hear music. If you have a high quality speaker setup with power and you are audiophile on music, or want do quality microphone recordings and such with special needs, then you always can add a soundcard later. Its hard to say. Also it depends on the integrated solution, if it have good shielding and such and how it interferes with other components. Your motherboard does not have highest quality audio solution from ASRock, so can't comment on that. It shouldn't break at least.
Why would it break? 😀

I never heard that a soundcard on a motherboard broke, so you shouldnt worry about that.

Also, yes, it's good enough for almost anything. I mean, watching movies, music, gaming, etc.
You only need a "real" soundcard of you want to produce music on a very professional level.
So just the use the one you already got with your motherboard. :)
