[SOLVED] Will there be a conflict between my new drive (Win 10) and my old drive (Win 8.1) if I try to boot up on my old drive while the new one is mounted?

Windows 8.1 was installed on my old HDD and it was using drive C. My SSD is using that drive letter now. Now I'm planning on buying one of those hdd caddies that goes to the laptop's optical drive where you can put an HDD or SSD. I know that if I put my old HDD on it while the SSD drive is set as the boot drive, my old HDD will just be recognized like a regular USB drive. But what would happen if I change my boot drive to the HDD? Would Windows 8.1 automatically change directory paths on its settings and the installed apps since I'm pretty sure that it's gonna be using a new drive letter? Or would it think that it's still on drive C?
