Will these components work straight out of the box?

Hi,
I have been sorting out some parts to build a gaming PC and I was wondering if this processor: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B009O7YORK/?tag=pcp0f-21
would work with this motherboard: http://www.amazon.co.uk/970-PRO3-R2-0-Mainboard-Storage/dp/B00C9OPYWE/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1386606504&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=Asrock+970+pro3
without any firmware compatibility issues

Though I don't have any personal experience with those products they should work straight out of the box.
For any frequent problems with products just google them to see what possible issues people are having.
To be added: updating firmware on these newer boards is rather easy (a quick search will explain everything that's needed to know),
so if updating your bios might be necessary to get optimal performance out of your system I wouldn't let that withhold you from buying them.

I'm pretty certain they'll work together, the cpu is a Socket AM3+ and the motherboard being Asrock 970 PRO3 R2.0 Mainboard Socket AM3+ says to me it's compatible. Might be safe to wait for someone else just to confirm 100% though, I'm literally just getting back into pc building and it's more complicated then I remember.
