This is my first time building a pc and I just wanted to check all my parts can work together and nothing is over or under kill. I'm looking for 1080 60-75fps in games like Rainbow Six Siege and Overwatch. These are my current components I'm thinking of buying:
i5 8400
Gigabyte Z370P D3(ATX)
Corsair 2x8GB ram DDR4(2666MHz)
MSI AMD RX 580 8GB GDDR5
WD 1TB HDD
Crucial CT500MX500SSD 500GB 2.5 inch SATA SSD
Corsair CX550M 550W 80+ bronze ATX power supply
EMPIRE GAMING – WarFare PC Gaming Case(USB 3.0, 3 x 120 mm LED Fans, Smoked transparent side panel – ATX/mATX / mITX)

If you have any suggestions to improve or fix this current design please add that as well.

Thanks in advance

You might want to get a GTX 1160ti or RTX 2060 instead, but this looks really good.
is the price increase worth it for better graphics, what fps would I be looking at for 1080 and 1440 at high settings
Edit: in the UK it's 150 pound increase from rx 580(200) to rtx 2060(350). Is this really worth it??

Very nice build, If you want to spend more, you could go with a RTX 2060, but a RX 580 is very very capable at 1080p.
Enjoy it, man!

I wouldn't say it's worth it, at most it's a %40 performance increase, but if you want that 1440p 60fps, a rx 580 will have a hard time. Up to you

EDIT: I saw you were asking about Rainbow Six Siege. The RX 580 will run that at 1440p 60fps at high or ultra.

would the rx 580 be able to run rainbow at 144fps at 1080 on high or ultra settings?
From what I'm seeing the ryzen 5 2600 and rx 580 are the best bang for your buck in terms of budget builds. Is this true?

The RX 580 will push 144fps on high/ultra settings in rainbow six siege, or at least that's what I saw in the benchmarks.
