the asrock is a new 970 chipset based mobo decent enough for the FX even for overclocking, also supports dual gpu and gives you the ability to ascend to R9 280x remaining at the same price $482.76 without the mail in rebates!

Thanks! So will the ASRock motherboard be a better choice rather than the ASUS?
Also, do you think a CPU cooler may be necessary?

for 70$ is a great option, yes! better spend the extra 50$ to the gpu! the amd stock cooler isnt good and will hardly suffice for your 8core while gaming.! better add an after market one regardless if you chose to o/c or not to avoid a thermal throttling!
