Will this be a good gaming build for the money?

Hello,l there are actually two builds here.
I am considering the following two builds for gaming:

CPU: Intel core i5 6500 - 15400
MB: ASUS H170 PRO Gaming - 12999
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (8GB*2)DDR4 (CMK16GX4M2A2400C16R) - 5899
GPU: Asus STRIX-R9-380-DC2OC-4GD5: 21,600.00
HDD: Seagate Barracudda 1 TB : 3690
PSU: Corsair VS Series VS550 - 3,545.00
Case yet to be decided.
Monitor: LG 22MP67VQ - 9,289.00
Total: 72422.

I am basically planning to have this system for 3~5 years, depending on the compatibility.

Alternatively, I am also considering as a cheaper option:
CPU: Intel core i3 6100 - 8935
MB: MSI H110M Pro VH - 5100
RAM: Kingston 8GB Fury HyperX - 2760
GPU: Asus GTX960 Black OC Edition 2GB GDDR5 - 16750
HDD: Seagate Barracudda 1 TB : 3690
PSU: Corsair VS Series VS550 - 3,545.00
Case yet to be decided.
Monitor: LG 22MP67VQ - 9,289.00
Total: 50069

I wanted to know: will the DMI 2.0 on the H110 chipset vs the DMI 3.0 on the H170 chipset affect performance?
Which will give better performance for the money?
Also, is it worth waiting for polaris/pascal?

At 3-5 yearss, you are gonna be looking to overclock that CPU

yes waiting till the new cards drop will pouch your selected components to a lower price

OK, but could you recommend which build is more bang for the buck.
I forgot to mention that the above system would be kept for 3~5 years while the lower one would be kept for about 2~3 years.

neither because you would want to replace the power supply as soon as you could on the first


and the cpu and power supply on the second



building your own is always better

but if you are buying from a website list your choices on the psu because the first its not a bad build minus that craptastic power supply


you should drop down to 8gb of ram if it means a better power supply
