Hello, i just wanted to ask if the Aerocool Integrator 500w will be enough for a gtx 970 and an i5 4590?

I know it is not the best PSU in the world but i cannot get a new one for at least 1 month, its 80 plus meaning the efficiency should be 81% minimum 85% maximum as it states, should be more than enough, what do you all think? I dont want to destroy my rig as soon as i put the 970 in

Unless its from a different model/OEM. I saw the kit review, but because it was a different model I didn't read it. If there is a place online that shows they are the same model and source then I'd be way more comfortable using it.

I don't mean to say it will blow up either. I only mean to say because there is no data on it then it's really hard/impossible to say you'll be fine. If you want to risk it and use it, go for it. Gaming load on it should be 300W, probably less. And that's only 60% of it's rated output. I personally wouldn't even let it in my house let alone my PC, but not everyone feels the same way.

so the 500w psu i have is enough yes?

yes because this PSU is only 500w i was not going to overclock anything so thats okay

Well... Not really. I know for a fact it is enough if it produces 400. I know because I have a 980 TI which uses ONLY UP TO 250W. Add 100 on that for the CPU and that's only 350W.

This is of course assuming no overclocking or extremities are put into place such as 8 DIMMs, OC's, or excessive heat.

Besides, isn't it 80 plus rated?

While that may be true, as I stated before if it can produce circa 350-400w he should be fine.
