Will this be enough, its going to be close.

Cpu: Intel 3570k
Mobo: Gigabyte g1 sniper 3\
graphics: 3x HD 7870s
storage: western digital caviar black 1tb
Power Supply: Corsair HX850
Obviously it is the power supply I am worried about. Will the 850 watt be enough, and yes I will be overclocking.

I wouldn't say it would be close... the 7870s are under 150W cards. I'd guess you're looking at a 650W at the most under Max load. And that PSU comes with 6 pcie connectors. I don't see an issue.

The 3rd card didn't do much for the 6xxxs though. haven't seen anything on tri-crossfire for the 7xxxs so you may want to check

thanks for the reply, I probably won't bother with the third card then. The reason I thought it would be close because when i did on the online power calculator it worked out at 844 watts.
