I'm fairly new to building a PC (never done it before but have looked at YouTube videos on how to) so I thought I'd ask you lot who are definitely more knowledgeable than me.
I briefly know which components are good and after a week of picking components this is what I have come to:
Asus Z97-A ATX MoBo
Intel i5 4690 (no plans on overclocking)
Kingston HyperX Beast 2x4GB DDR3
Gigabyte G1 GTX 970 4GB (heard it is 3.5GB and the other 0.5GB is 1/7th slower, does it matter?)
Western Digital Blue 1TB (worth getting an SSD to put games on?)
Corsair CS650M 80 Plus Gold (will this be enough?)
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo (is this necessary since I won't OC my CPU but will be gaming?)
Lite-On 24x SATA Internal DVDRW
Fractal Design R5 Case (big enough case for the components and future upgrades?)
This is what I have finally come to, hopefully no bottlenecks or anything like that. I've put questions next to each component for things that I have thought about but wasn't entirely sure on.
I will be using this for gaming mainly, no video rendering or anything in that field.
My Xbox One is satisfactory for games like Call of Duty and FIFA but I want a PC for games like Battlefield and FarCry 4 where it really takes full advantage on smoothness and graphics.
I'm open to any component recommendations that are similarly priced.
Will this PC be good and future proof, if so, any ideas for how long or is that too difficult to predict?
I hope I have given enough information in order for you guys to provide some responses.
Thanks.
