Ryzen 7 2700x, corsair H60 54.0 CFM liquid CPU cooler, asus prime X470-pro atx am4 motherboard, corsair vengeance lpx 16 gb DDr4-3000 memory, 1 terabyte , EVGA superNOVA G3 750W 80+ gold fully modular atx power supply, windows 10 , corsair air series white 2 pack 52.2 cfm 120 mm fan, and should i put a RX vega 56 or Msi geforce GTX 1070 ti 8gb? Im going to play building games and shooter games.

looks pretty good with the aio its a cheaper version you may be better going with a nice air cooler, I would get the 1070ti its usually cheaper I run one in my system works perfect I would also suggest buying an SSD

As I recall, the 1070TI came out because the Vega 56 did so well against the 1070. So between those two the 1070TI is the stronger card. There seems to be a slight edge sometimes to AMD cards with newer/DX12 games so if you only play newer stuff the Vega might be the better choice. But between those two cards I'd get the 1070TI.

vega 56 has had its ups and downs and its usually more expensive and preforms a bit worse than the 1070ti, I personally own a 1070ti overclocked it preforms like a gtx 1080 and I do believe it also has a lower power draw

vega still needs some work if you want the safe bet go for the 1070ti vega 64 does beat the 1070ti but its 200 dollars more

Amd uses more power but freesync monitors are cheaper. Amd gpus tend to cost more because of miners.

Which is better for what

intel has higher IPC, Instructions per clock, which means when one or two cores are being used heavily as can happen while gaming, the higher IPC will equate to improved performance with the zen architecture though AMD has closed the IPC gap considerably.

AMD has intel over the multitasking barrel though. if you do many things on your PC at the same time and GAMING is NOT the sole consideration I suggest AMD. AMD lets you overclock, the boards are cheaper, more cores, more PCIe lanes, etc.

In Addition ryzen cooling is much better than intel , both cpu chip and stock cooler.
Also all ryzen chips are unlocked for overclock while intel only k chip are unlocked

When I first saw your thread I thought you were only upgrading the GPU. Now I see you are looking at a whole new system. "building and shooter" games doesn't say a lot. Here is Tom's review of the 1070TI

Doom (Vulkan render) is able to beat the Vega 56. But when you look at Destiny 2 (DX11), it loses. Other games are basically a tie including BF1 (DX12) which is one you probably care about. Most of the games have the 1070TI tied or ahead of the Vega 56, though it is possible the Vega 56 to best the 1070TI here or there. Because the 1070TI wins most of the matches I said to get it above.
