Will this build work without any compatibility issues?

I am building a PC, and have got a £500 budget for the PC alone (not the peripherals). Could you please tell me if this build will work, and if not which parts? Could you also recommend some changes I could make, as long as it stays under the £500 mark. No your system will run fine. All the components have great quality so you should have no problems. For your budget it is almost the best system you can get.

Thanks! One thing, is it worth the extra money to upgrade to the GTX 970?

Well yeah but if you ask me, spend that extra money to go for an intel platform, probably an i5 4690 along with a decent motherboard. CPU is the least popular upgrade so make a strong choice which will keep you running smoothly for years.
