Hello all I was just wondering if this build will fit together. Its a computer for my girlfriend and she likes green so thats why almost all the pieces are green. If you have any questions or changes that might work better please do suggest. Thanks for having a look and your help.

You'd have to make sure the Z87 mobo bios was updated to take Haswell refresh CPUs - or get a Z97 mobo instead.

They'll be dual channel memory motherboards. So you can't run 3 stick so ram. Get a 2 x 4gb kit

Raidmax do not make good power supplies. See http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html#xtor=EPR-8886

For $600 with no OS try -

CPU: Intel Core i3-4160 3.6GHz Dual-Core Processor ($109.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock H97 PRO4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($83.89 @ OutletPC)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($59.98 @ Newegg)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($47.99 @ NCIX US)
Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon R9 285 2GB WINDFORCE 2X Video Card ($162.98 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case ($57.99 @ Micro Center)
Power Supply: XFX TS 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($48.98 @ Newegg)
Total: $571.80

Just a quick question, why 12gb? 8 would be sufficient and i would drop the money from the 4gb towards a better GPU. 3 sticks may cause problems with how the memory interacts. I would just go 2 sticks at Dual Channel. From what you save on the what i think is wasted 4gb of ram you could go to a GTX 750 TI which is a step up from the HD 6850.

Check this chart for an idea.

Hello Mewsaidthetoast.

yes, your recent build'd PC will work and you'll can power on your PC.

Recommendation for you:

Change your HDD. Western Digital Caviar Black is recommended. Blue one is slower.

Also, please, tell me about your budget for building PC. Maybe I'll can pick you something better, for the money, you are willing to spend.

Best regards,
- Randor.
