Question Will this cable be enough for my MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Gaming X 12GB GDDR6 PCI-Express ?

Hey! just bought this rtx 3060 card to upgrade from gtx 1070. My PSU has the PCIE cable with two 6/ to 8pin on one cable. Can I use this for the 6 and the 8 pin slots on the GPU? Seeing as it requires an 8 and a 6. Or do I need to attach a different cable ?

I guess it’s a dual pcie cable from the PSU? Sorry been googling ! And can’t upload an image here. Hope this explains what I mean! Could this work?

Should be fine unless you have a power hungry CPU. Yes, you can use both connectors on the PCIe cable. Since this PSU is not modular you would not be able to use other cable anyway.

No it’s not modular but I see you can get molex to pcie cables. Wondered if they could be used if necessary?. Thanks for your responses !

Not recommended. Each additional extension cable is added risk. And particularly molex to PCIe are generally bad idea, more of a fire hazard then a real solution to any problem.
