Hey guys,
I am doing some research here and was looking into the MSI N770 TF 4GD5/OC GTX 770 video card. I want to get it in a SLI config but it says 3-way SLI. If you look on the website (http://us.msi.com/product/vga/N770_TF_4GD5OC.html#hero-specification) at the bottom of the page it says that it supports SLI and 3 way SLI. does this mean that it will be ok in 2 way SLI? I dont want to buy 2 and not be able to use SLI. Sorry for the dumb questions, but I couldnt find anything online about this.

Thanks again.

Yes it is fully compatible with 2 way SLI. What you want to fact check though is if your motherboard is compatible with SLI. For example some MSI motherboards only support crossfire and don't support SLI due to firmware issues.

Also it saying it's just SLI compatible would imply that it's usable with another card.

Personally I do find that SLI and crossfire are notorious for confusing terminology. It took me a surprisingly long time to find out that quad SLI and four way SLI are not the same thing.

Quad SLI is a setup with two dual GPUs (ie the GTX 690)

Four way SLI refers to 4 single GPU cards (ie your very own GTX 770)

It's confusing english if you ask me and really should have some more specific terms.
