Before I start this thread, just want to thank you guys on the forums. You've been a great help in my journey through tech.

So, I recieved an ASUS Essentio machine, and I'll admit, it runs chrome, youtube and MS Paint better than my laptop, but it obviously cannot run games due to its bad internal graphics.

Anyways, recently, one of my friends found a good, cheap card for lower end systems like mine. It is only about $40-$50, and it can run on a 300 Watt PSU.

Anyways, to get to the point, here are some links for the card that my be helpful:

Anyways, now to my specs:

As I mentioned above, it is an ASUS Essentio, but I'm not sure if any of the specs have been altered in the past, but I'll link the specifications page below.

Version: 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601
OS Manufacturer: Microsoft Corporation
System Manufacturer: ASUSTeK Computer INC.
System Model: CM1730/CM1830
System Type: x64-based PC

Installed Physical Memory (RAM): 8.00 GB
Total Physical Memory: 7.75 GB
Available Physical Memory: 4.28GB
Total Virtual Memory: 15.5 GB
Available Virtual Memory: 11.5 GB
Page File Space: 7.75 GB

So far, that is what I have listed. if anyone can tell me how to figure out what motherboard I have, it would do wonders.

Anyways, my main concern is that I don't know what my RAM type is, but I do know that the GPU is ddr3, so hopefully I have ddr3.

Anyways, will I be able to use this card?

I'll leave you more information if necessary, thanks for your time.

You're fine on the questions; ask away.
I'd have to see the nameplate on the side of the 300W PSU to be 100% certain, but most OEM 300W PSUs are fine for the (non-6 pin) GTX 1050 Ti or 1050. I have a 1050 Ti running in my little Optilex 790 SFF with its tiny 275W PSU.

The GT 1030 is only a 30W processor like the GT 710. Any halfway decent 300W PSU can handle it. It won't be a 1080p gamer with anything but low settings, but at least you can play modern games. If you drop the screen rez down to 720p quality, it...

Yes, that card should work fine on that system. But I would advise against spending even $30-$40 on it. Not a gaming card by any stretch of the imagination. Save a little more and get a GT 1030. Or save even more and get a GTX 1050 Ti that requires no 6-pin.

Ok, so I still am not sure, but I will probably save up for a GT 1030, or who knows, maybe go with the 1050, but my question is, do these work with a 300 (or 350) watt PSU? Sorry if I am asking to many questions..
