Will this case be good enough for today?

I have here a chieftec dragon, an old case that has a side window so it can be good for looking into a sweet rig 😛.

I want to utilize this case that my Pastor Gave me in a future rig, it can fit today's largest cards at the expense of a drive cage, but I can still fit either 2 HDD'S or 2HDD and 1SSD and the drive cage has a removable fan mount so I can cool my storage as well!

I was thinking I could add in a USB 3.0 front panel thing into the floppy disk area and will use the USB 1.1 for my headphones.

Here is the case front

I know the color is ugly yellow, but I might spray paint it a different color, or keep it, who knows? It kinda attracts me 😛

I was thinking of putting a USB 3.0 in the floppy area so I can just use that.

Here is the inside with the removed drive cages, I was thinking I could add in a R9 290X or something, I know it will fit at the loss of a drive bay and then put in a ATX board.

It comes with 2 front 80mm Fan mounts and 2 80mm fount exhaust mounts. I could add in some pretty silent 80mm LED fans or something, but IDK.

Now the question is, is this a go? I like this case and I feel like I should put something in it later down the line. Any thoughts is welcomed, thanks!

I have a very similar case from a build years ago and it was good for its time. However, I think it's too small especially if you're trying to put in longer GPUs. Trust me, removing the HDD bays will not help depending on which card you're going to use.

Being able to have only 80mm fans is a let down IMO.

Also, as far as I remember, there is very little in the way of cable management options.

Like I said, I thought the case was good for its time, but having experienced bigger and newer cases this one is a little dated.

Thanks a bunch pal! Even though it's hard to utilize cable management in this case I'm sure it won't be a hassle 😛.

I also currently have a AZZA Genesis 9000B, while that is the better case it's just to heavy for weak lil me, this case is a tad smaller and so much lighter so it will help out my arms ^^;

There is this one hold thingy at the front that I can use to route my cables, and I can also use some zip ties to help out as well. I dunno, maybe I can use this case for a nephews build 😛

Still leaning towards a gaming build for myself with this though,

I didn't even notice the lack of cable management. Can you route cables behind the motherboard tray at all? I don't see any holes.

That other case if freaking massive! I have a HAF X which is very large and heavy, and that Genesis seems to dwarf it, good lord.

There is this one Hold thing at the front I can use to route my cables, I can also use that huge bar up top as well, like loop it around that lol 😛, I can pretty much use anything to route my cables XD.
