I am looking to buy the Corsair Carbide Air 240 Cube Case. It says it has a GPU cooler restriction of 120MM and I'm not sure which way this measurement is meant. Does anyone know if it will fit? I tried measuring it from the GPU upwards and it seems to be about 120MM exactly but I'm still not sure again.

Dimensions of cooler (Hyper 212 Evo):
Width: 8 cm
Depth: 12 cm
Height: 15.9 cm

The Case's site states: Maximum CPU Cooler Height: 120mm

Any help would be appreciated

Thank you!

Solution
CPU cooler height has nothing to do with the dimension to the top of the case. It is the dimension from the CPU to the side cover of the case.
No, the 212 Evo is 159 mm in height and the case only supports coolers up to 120 mm in height. This rules out virtually all the tower type coolers. You'll need a low profile cooler like the Cryorig C7 or Noctua NH-9Li. If you plan on doing some serious overclocking, you might to go with an AIO.

It depends if the website mean height as in upwards to the roof of the case, or depth. Because if it was depth then it might just fit with the copper parts on glass. But if they actually mean height then it could possibly be too big and touch the roof causing it not to line up.

So they are talking about the depth in which case meaning that it would fit. I wonder if that when they gathered the dimensions height of the cooler, they may have measured it from top to bottom as height.

So if they case website actually means depth of cooler, then the depth is okay to fit. But I'm not sure about the actual height of it as in bottom to top.
