Will this component work on my motherboard?

Ive got this motherboard:
ASUS Prime B250M-Plus

Planing to buy this capture card:

The capture card will be installed to the PCIE slots on the motherboard. However on the website it says this:
Warning: Live Gamer HD2 is not compatible with X99 (ASUS, MSI, ASROCK) motherboards

Does my motherboard go under the X99 category?

No, the chipset you have on your board is the B250 so it does not fall into the X99 category. You should be good to go. Might I ask what the rest of your specs look like?

Intel Core I5-4440 3.10Ghz
GeForce GTX 660

will be upgrading to this before i buy the recorder:
Intel Core i7-7700
16GB Ram
GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB
