It shouldn't. There are much heavier coolers out there over 1100g, that cooler is 720g. If you're referring to the article circulating the internet about someone testing a cooler on a skylake chip I'd recommend only hand tightening the cooler rather than using a power driver like they did.
Unless you're throwing your pc in the car for frequent trips or anything, it should be fine sitting on a desk. Heavy(er) coolers can put some stress on the cpu/socket while shipping or being bounced around but that's been warned against long before skylake.
