Will this CPU bottleneck?

Hello, so I am buying an AMD Phenom X2 550 temporarily, because I need to upgrade my mobo first, but the question is will the AMD Phenom x2 550 bottleneck the r7 240 2gb ddr3?

Sys specs:
Motherboard:GA-M52L-S3P
CPU: AMD Phenom X2 550 3,1 ghz
GPU: R7 240 2GB DDR3
RAM: 8GB DDR2

And also am I able to unlock extra cores on my mobo?

No, it wouldn't bottleneck the 240. No your motherboard isn't responsbile for your core count, your processor is. You can get a x6 1100t at best with that motherboard.
