will this cpu work in this computer?

I have an old computer that is small form factor, so i want to turn it into a LAN box. it currently has an Athlon 64 x2 5000+. i want to get a better CPU for it so i can get a better GPU without bottleneck.


my mobo is wmcp78m it is socket am2 or am2+

Will what cpu work with it? You didn't mention what you are trying to add.

Any cpu that fits in the am2+ socket would work.

i feel really dumb i forgot to say what cpu.
anyways the cpu i wanted to put in it was an athlon 2 x2 620e or 610e
