Greetings! My question is. I'd like to update my CPU as I currently have an I3 dual core.
My computer specs are.
Mobo - Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3h |CPU socket LGA 1155| |CPU support 2nd and 3rd generation Intel core Processor
GPU - Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 670 windforce x3
I got told by someone that as long the as the CPU socket matches that of the CPU it will work. But just to make sure I'm interesting in buying this CPU
Intel Quad Core i7 3770 3.4GHz Max 3.9GHz 8MB Cache LGA1155 CPU Beat 870 2600
I prefer only intel and I would like an I7 Quad core.
Reason?
Playing games such as BF3 and Max Payne 3 on the highest graphic settings. It shows my GPU using about 60% - low 90% |Never ever seen it reach 100% load while gaming| But I still get low FPS every once in a while. I checked my CPU usage on the task manager and it shows it around 90%+ load while gaming. It also sometimes goes to 100% load. So I'm thinking If I got a better CPU something with a Quad Core It would increase my FPS.
Thoughts?
P.s. My ram is more then enough
Recently bought a new PSU the Thermaltake TR 600w.
Really appreciate your time thanks!
