Will This CPU work?

I have a cheap MSI H81M-P33 motherboard, I was wondering if swapping my Pentium for an 8th gen core i5-8400 would work, or if the 8th gen is too much for that motherboard?

No the cpu wont work on that mobo. You need a Coffee Lake / socket 1151 mobo
