Hi guys, I have a Coolermaster N200 case, and occasionally the power button gets stucked (though my pc turned on) and before the OS loads my PC will shut down again because of the stucked power button, will this do any harm to my hardware or OS? I already found a work around for it by pressing the lower part of the power button with a piece of stick, but I just want to know if that occurs again, will it damage my pc? Thanks

in theory no, but if it happens way to often then yes. it can damage it.

the solution is easier than you think, in bios there's usually an option to power on by keyboard password, set it to power on "A" or any key for example then you can use the keyboard to start it instead of the button.

hmm thanks, but my keyboard doent work until the OS loads, its a cm storm quickfire tk, can i do it with a mouse button? and where in bios especifically? i have an old mb btw its a Emaxx 880GFXN

my kb is usb, but i have a usb to ps2 converter so i'll give it a shot, if it doesnt work then ill just use my reset a power, btw is that safe? i mean, using my reset as power wont burn my mobo? both the power and reset button dont have polarities right? thanks.
