I have the following scenario in mind and I am just seeking some input. From what I've gathered, it's entirely possible, but I'm not clear if data loss is potential. Each disk is relatively full and stores my media server. I have most of the data backed up so I'm just asking in hopes of using the fastest method to consolidate these. Thanks in advance for any advice or opinions.

  • Using Ease US Partition Master.
  • Convert 3 disks to dynamic. Each have a single partition.
    -3.64TB Basic, GPT
    -1.82TB Basic, GPT
    -1.82TB Basic, GPT
  • Combine into spanned volume.

Solution
  1. Why?
  2. Absolutely need a full 100% backup.

Even if that software can take mostly full drives and just "span" them (and I'm not sure it can without software loss)...mistakes can happen.
