I want to connect a Lenovo X260 to two 2k 60Hz monitors via displayport.

The Lenovo X260 has a 6600U CPU. The specs here:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/u...r-4m-cache-up-to-3-40-ghz/specifications.html

Under GPU, the maximum resolution supported is 4k @60Hz.

Referring to Display Data Calculator, the bitrate for 4k 60Hz is 11.12GBps

The bitrate for 2k 60Hz display is 4.94GBps

So two 2k 60Hz monitor means total requirement is 9.88GBps. This is less than 11.12GBps, so maybe this will work, provided I close the laptop lid and do not enable the onboard display.

If I also enable the onboard Lenovo display (12" 1366x768) the bit rate is 1.41GBps. Adding it all up will be 11.29GBps, exceeding 11.12GBps. So likely this will not work.

Can anyone confirm if the calculation seems ok?

The iGPU will be able to do a triple monitor setup, it's stated in the number of displays. So onboard display on the laptop + 2 external displays.

What sort of display output ports do you have access to on your laptop? I'm seeing through this page;
https://www.lenovo.com/in/en/p/laptops/thinkpad/thinkpadx/thinkpad-x260/22tp2tx2600?orgRef=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F&srsltid=AfmBOopG6tvIDYJQdgbCNXy7fCMa8bw9Ipw1zdVy5BkhZ5itisOA0Kjb
that you have access to a mini-DisplayPort as well as HDMI, you should be able to do 2K 60Hz unless Lenovo wired a reduced bandwidth connector on the board.

You can go ahead and hook the laptop to similar displays on display or at your friend's/neighbor's home. Worse case scenario, you're going to need a dock to hook up to two external displays.

I do currently have two 2k displays, which are connected to my desktop PC. These are connected via display port and are daisy chained to each other.

My hope is to connect the laptop to these displays as well, using a display port switch, so that both computers can be hooked up to the same displays.

Unfortunately I don't have a mini DP to DP adaptor as of now, so I can only test one external display at a time using the HDMI port.

I intend to purchase a switch, mini DP to DP cable, and another DP cable for the desktop PC, to make it all work. But before I take the plunge I just want to make sure the triple monitor setup will work, or if I will be resigned to using the laptop with its display switched off.
