I just wanted to have someone else check this over to make sure I'm not missing anything.

I currently have an FX-4100 and a GTX 680 which causes a massive bottleneck, I've been looking around and saw that a dual CPU xeon setup could give pretty good performance on a budget.

I'm currently looking at the Supermicro MBD-X8DTH-I-B (http://goo.gl/4v6YWS) and two Xeon X5570 CPU's (http://goo.gl/ETI7I6) along with 16gb of DDR3 RAM (Downclocked to 1333MHz) and my GTX 680.

Will this cause any immediate problems and how could I rectify any that appear?

Thanks for the help,
Austin

Alright here is what you should do.

Buy an fx8320 and stick it in your current setup. Will be a huge performance increase and will fix your bottleneck.
It should work but you won't see any gaming improvements with a second Xeon. The first will do mostly everything gaming wise. I don't think there is a game that is capable of utilizing a second CPU.

It should be a huge upgrade from the fx-4100 though.

Thanks for the reply :) Will probably go ahead with it.

Have you got any suggestions at all? Everything I've looked at was out of my price range.
When I say gaming I mostly mean MMOs' and rhythm games with a few other light games like Counter Strike.

Budget it £150~ and my current motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4305#ov)
