Will this DVI cable work?

Hi, i'm currently using a 1440 x 900 monitor with a VGA cable. I'm upgrading to this monitor here: http://www.amazon.com/Acer-R240HY-bidx-23-8-Inch-Widescreen/dp/B0148NNKTC/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1458441164&sr=1-3&keywords=monitor


I was also going to upgrade to a DVI cable because it seems like its a lot better quality than VGA from what I hear. I found this 1: http://www.amazon.com/DVI-LCD-Monitor-Cable-Foot/dp/B0041BT21M/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_pdt_img_top?ie=UTF8

Would this DVI cable work with any monitor. It says its 18-pin male..whatever that means.

Any help on the subject is appreciated

YEAH ITS JUST A STANDARD DVI CABLE IT SHOULD WORK FINE,.
