Will this DVI-D to VGA converter work on a EVGA 1050 ti?

Hello, I've bought an EVGA 1050 ti, but my screen only supports VGA connection, so I looked for an adapter from HDMI to VGA or DVI to VGA.

I came across a few threads and discovered that in this GPu, only "Active" adapters will work, meaning adapters that can actually transform digital signal into an analog signal, or something like that. So far I've understood how it works.

The main question is, will this adapter work? how do I know if an adapter is "Active" before buying it if most sellers don't even know? (around where I live).

Thanks, I was thinking that was probably the only active adapter between the two.

I guess the larger adapter has more space to have circuits that convert the signal to an analog signal, it is also more expensive because of this, but it is what I need.

Side question, do HDMI to VGA adapters that look like that are active as well or that's not guaranteed?
