Will this fan work?

So my rear exhaust fan just broke on me and was wondering how to go about getting a replacement. It was a 3 pin connector which went into a "sys fan" slot on my motherboard. Will any other 3 pin fan work if I just plug it in? Will I have to go into the BIOS or install anything or can I just plug it in, screw it and be done with it?
