Just wondering if this fan's RGB will be compatible with this motherboard.
Fan - CORSAIR iCUE SP120 RGB ELITE
Mobo - MSI PRO B550M-P GEN 3
The mobo has a JRGB1 header (4 pin) and the cooler also has a 4 hole RGB cable. I didn't want to try it yet in case I fry the LEDs. Thanks

A few factors to explain.

1. The fan you cite is of the ARGB lighting type, meaning it uses THREE-pin connections for the lights. Your mobo has the OTHER type of header - a 4-pin one called plain RGB. You can NOT plug that fan into that header type.
2. If you buy one such fan you cannot use it directly with that mobo. You would need a Corsair Lighting Node Pro extra Controller box to plug the fan into. However, if you choose to buy their 3-fan kit that INCLUDES that Controller box you are all set. The box installs independent of your mobo and you do NOT connect it to the mobo header. You connect a power supply line from the Controller box to a SATA power output from the PSU, and another cable from the box to a mobo USB2 header. The fans' cables plug into that box only. Then you download and install Corsair's free software utility iCUE and use that from your keyboard/screen to set up the fans and lights.
3. Corsair uses non-standard connectors on their fan cables, so normally they will NOT plug into any standard mobo header. If you are buying one fan and no Controller box they MAY include some adapter unit to enable plugging into mobo headers. However, even that will NOT allow you to connect one of these fans to a plain RGB mobo lighting header. If you are getting the Lighting Node Pro Controller, this is a non-issue.
