Will this Gaming build Work? Plus can i play BF4 with it?

Hi,

since I'm building a custom PC for gaming and I'm not an expert, I really need some advice
if the parts I've chosen are going to work fine and stuff like that.

Processor: AMD A8 5600k
Mother Board: Asrock Fm2A85x
Memory: Corsair G skill Ripjaw 4GB x2
Graphics card: Asus GTX 650 or Asus HD 7770
Powersupply: Thermaltake litepower 700 watts
Chasis: Raidmax Raptor

Plus i really need advice for the graphics card .. Which is better asus GTX650 or Asus HD 7770?? PLEASE NEED HELP .. I live here in the Philippines soo the only good component shop here is PCexpress.

An APU is a poor choice for a gaming build. You don't need the GPU portion since you have the HD7770 graphics card and there are better CPU's for the price.

I'll look at prices and post something but offhand an X4-760K, FX-6300, or the upcoming G3258 Pentium are interesting alternatives.

Probably the X4-760K as you can keep the same motherboard, just swap with the APU you posted.

(I also recommend Windows 8.1 64-bit OEM, and possibly Start8 to go with that)

Other:
Graphics card: The Asus GTX750Ti is a great card if you have the budget, or the EVGA version for slightly less.

the 7770 is better then the 650...

i'd get an Athlon II x4 750k/760k depending on which is cheaper if you're going to get a discrete graphics card like the 7770. It will be cheaper. you don't need a 700W psu either... 400 would be fine for that build.

For a budget build there are a few ways to go, but mainly it starts with the CPU. The G3258 is only dual-core but most games can't use more than two cores so the better per-core Intel is a good choice especially once overclocked a bit.

You can also add a 4-core Intel Haswell CPU later if you decide to upgrade.

I could have skimped here, but $100 isn't too much and I wanted something of reasonably good quality that could also OVERCLOCK the CPU a bit.

no... i will never suggest a dual cored cpu, no matter what clock speeds can be achieved on it... for modern gaming, especially since the cache is so small for those Pentium chips. Lag and choppiness city for all but the most single threaded low memory requirement games.

I3s are already basically unplayable on BF4, the lag and choppy frame rates are insane with them. Why suggest a chip with LESS cache and LESS threads? I still am not sure what Intel wants use to use these chips for... with the cache crippled these are terrible gaming chips... mostly just for overclocking giggles i think
