Will this gaming laptop be able to run recent games at a smooth framerate?

So I’m getting my first gaming laptop however it’s a kind of low end PC so I was wondering if it could run the most recent games at a solid frame rate with med-high settings?

Here are the specs
CPU: i7-7700HQ
Graphics: 1050 4gb
Ram: 16 gb DDR4
Display: Full HD

It will struggle at high settings at 1080p with current AAA games. The 1050 is really more of a low-medium settings card for 1080p to get stable 60fps. If you want 60fps at high settings, the 1060 is what you need. The Acer Predator Helios is a decent price and it has a 1060. But I am sure it is more than this rig.
