Will this GPU fit inside my case?

I'm in the process of building a new computer. I have already acquired the RAM, case, PSU, and the motherboard. Just need to get the GPU and CPU and I'll be done.

The build:

AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor


Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard

G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory

Samsung 840 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk

Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 3GB Video Card

Cooler Master Force 500 ATX Mid Tower Case

Cooler Master GX 750W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

I read some reviews which stated that the GPU was very large. Will I have any trouble fitting it in this case? Should I purchase a full tower?

Yes it will fit with about 1.5 inches to spare. No worries, and no need to spend the extra money on a full tower.

Your case supports VGA card length: 320mm / 12.6 inch (with HDD cage)

That graphics card is: 11.02 inches

So you should be fine!

As you can clearly see here, yes it will fit:

Maximum Compatibility VGA card length: 320mm / 12.6 inch (with HDD cage)

The largest 7970 3GB I could find from sapphire was 280mm while you have space for 320mm.
