I am thinking of getting an RTX 3060 OR 3060 Ti and fit it in my motherboard. My PC Configuration is: Ryzen 3 2200G, 16GB RAM, 120GB SSD, 480GB SSD, 1 Fan , Corsair CV650 PSU (650W). As some of you may know, my motherboard has 1 Pcie 3.0 x16 Graphics Card Slot, and the 3000 Series have a Gen 4.0 Slot requirement. I have money only for the Card but not the motherboard, and I wanna get my hands on an FE if possible, if not then others. Will the card work on my motherboard without any problems e.g. shorts, fire, static electricity I dunno. And should I cap my Frame Rate to the Hz of my Monitor?

Many Thanks

Solution
You should have no problems with that motherboard and 3060/Ti.
PCIe 4.0 and 3.0 are backwards compatible,so you will have no problem running it.
While PCIe 4.0 has more bandwidth,it is still not that advanced to even make a difference in gaming,im talking FPS.
If you wanna cap FPS to your Hz thats your decision.
