you're 100% sure, the MB has an Intel chipset. I know that means that i need an Intel CPU, but it doesn't matter when it comes to the GPU ?

Yes, 100%. GPUs don't care what chipset they are on, be it Intel or AMD.

The matrix is right.

What you also need to be concerned about is your Power Supply unit.

500W (or greater) power supply with two 75W 6-pin PCI Express power connectors

Does your PSU meet or exceed those reqs.?

Is the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137037&cm_re=1060_3GB-_-14-137-037-_-Product MSI GeForce GTX 1060 DirectX 12 GTX 1060 3GT OC a better value with better performance? Yes. Is it also less expensive than that card new? Yes.

I've seen the R9 380 at different prices . Some are as expensive as the 6GB model which I recommend http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125901&cm_re=1060_6GB-_-14-125-901-_-Product .

If you are buying it used at a low price? At least others asking this question will have this info.

As far as the PSU questions go, yes and, yes, are you saying id be better off getting 1060, or should i just stack the R9( get another one)

You would need a 750W PSU for crossfiring two 380s. I would stick with just the one you have for now.

You have my apologies. It's something I rarely do, but I didn't read all the details. I would carry over your 380. I agree with the PSU recommendation for crossfiring two of those. If I were in your shoes I would sell that card and buy a 6GB 1060. It's better in every respect. Would be nice to have a completely brand new rig and save some money by selling that card.

You tell us which board you are thinking about but not the CPU. With that MB I don't expect anything less than the 6800K. However your apparent budget(going by the price of the GFX card) doesn't agree with that. Which CPU are you planning on using? Why exactly do you feel the need for that high end of a motherboard?

To put it simply, the reason i would like to get the high end MB is so i can go bigger later, basically my budget is going to be increasing over the next year by a good amount and I plan build a upgrade my rig more frequently. As far as the CPU goes, I plan on getting the Intel Core i7-5820. I got a little confused on your first statement, were you reccomending me to crossfire another 380 or get the 1060 ?

Yes. The 6GB 1060 would be a very good improvement. Crossfired 380s will improve performance but will do nothing for VRAM.

In all truthfulness I would save for a while until you can afford the 1070 which would be more in line with those extreme processors.
