So I've decided to get the sapphire radeon vapor-x R9 290X 8gb. Over the 970,(I'm wanting to play 1440p with everything maxed) and I'm wondering if it is going to fit in my case. I have a 700 watt power supply and I believe that is enough for it.
The case I have: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Carbide-Black-Computer-CC-9011012-WW/dp/B005E983JW/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1429313805&sr=1-1&keywords=500r+carbide
GPU:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P9RDI9Y/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
I've been looking at a lot of cards and I like the price of the 970, But from everything I have heard there are not many cards that can do 1440p 60fps with most settings maxed. So if anyone has some suggestions other than the 290x that'd be great. Not looking forward to spending 500$ but if that's the only one that will work then I'll get it.
