Question Will this memory work in my Dell laptop

I have a Dell Latitude E7450 laptop with 4GB of RAM installed and one open memory slot. I believe the correct memory for this machine is:
DDR3 PC3L-12800 1600MHz SODIMM 204 PIN 1.35V CL=11

I have a 4GB Micron DIMM (from an HP laptop) that reads:
MT8KTF51264HZ-1G6E1 1351
4GB 1RX8 PC3L-12800S-11-11-B2
DPADR13009

A few questions if you please:

1. Will the Micron memory fit and work in my Latitude E7450?
2. If I install it and it is incorrect will it destroy the laptop or simply not be recognized and/or not function?
3. If it’s the wrong memory type and I remove it will the machine then function as before the install?

Your laptop support a maximum of 16GB of ram.

I'd advise on picking up a 2x4GB or 2x8GB DDR3L-1600Mhz (dual channel)ram kit as opposed to mixing and matching sticks of ram. Prior to performing your ram upgrade, you should make sure your laptop is on the latest BIOS version. Use the service tag on your laptop(located under the unit) in Dell's support page to bring up a page bespoke to your laptop. You can then use CPU-Z to see what BIOS version you're currently on(listed under Mainboard's tab) to see if you have BIOS updates pending.

Try it.

Put a copy of memtest86 on a flash stick.
Install the new ram.
Boot the flash stick and let it run......no errors allowed.
