I am looking into getting an MSI X99S Gaming 7 motherboard, which states that it must use DDR4 RAM, though I have an Intel Xeon e5-2670 processor which only supports a handful DDR3 variants. If I can't use this processor with this motherboard does anyone know of a consumer grade board that does (for around $180-200)?
Edit: Are there any features that I would be unable to get from this motherboard that are normally available in consumer boards? (http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-Z420-WORKSTATION-SYSTEM-MOTHERBOARD-LGA-2011-FOR-INTEL-XEON-E5-619557-001-/231977773749?hash=item3602f3eab5:g😛88AAOSwgk1XFn~m)

The 2670 is a fairly old CPU, so your best bet would be to buy used, as the only listings for new motherboards are $250 and above.
Here is an HP Z420 workstation X79 motherboard, that is refurbished on Newegg for $250:

You can't use DDR4 memory, as that is only available for X99 and Skylake based processors.
The same situation applies for that motherboard, 2011 V3 and 2011 are not the same board, and they will not work together. If you have that processor already, I would look for DDR3 memory, and a used motherboard like the one listed above.

Best of luck!
