Hi. I have a Dell Inspiron 531 with this motherboard: http://www.amazon.com/RY206-Dell-Motherboard-Inspiron-M... and this CPU:http://www.amazon.com/AMD-Athlon-ADV6000IAA5DO-Socket-Q... I am trying to figure out if the motherboard and CPU can run High Density RAM. I plan to put 4x2GB DDR2 800MHz chips in it. I have already made sure that it will support the 8GB. Any help would be appreciated.

BTW: I currently have 8GB of RAM in the PC right now. I have 4x2GB Low Density Chips that belong to another computer. When the motherboard was released 2GB DDR2 chips didn't exist so officially it doesn't support more than 4GB because that is the max that would fit back then. I just need to know if the board will support High Density RAM so I can order 4 sticks 2GB each.

Solution
Almost all AMD DDR2 motherboards will take high density memory, I literately have like a bag full of memory from that era from dell. Mostly 512mb and 1gig sticks. Just be careful when you pick out double sided 128bit vs the single sided 64bit memory. If you can find single sided 64bit you should be fine I would be wary about going with double sided 128bit
